About Us
Welcome to Just Kate Catering!
We are a family-owned business with over 12 years of experience in the food industry!
Our journey began in 2014, when we built one of Chicago's most recognized food truck brands. We were proud to be ranked among the Top 3 Food Trucks in Chicago, featured on FOX 32, and trusted to serve at some of the city's largest events - including Lollapalooza, Spring Awakening, Pokémon GO Fest, and many more.
Over the years, we have had the privilege of working with clients such as Hyatt Hotels, Menards, in addition to numerous corporate and private events throughout the Chicago area.Today, we are excited to begin a new chapter with Just Kate Catering. While catering is a new piece of the pie for us, our passion, experience, and commitment to exceptional food remains the same.
Kate – Founder & Executive Chef
The mover of our organization.
With determination and grit, Kate has been able to advance in the culinary art. With more than 10 years of experience and education, we are proud to have Kate as our lead chef! Most recently, she earned herself a certification for Caviar Sommelier - an achievement of which she is incredibly proud.
For Kate, art has always been a keystone of life and cuisine. She is a passionate creative with the ability to elevate food to an experience of awe. Her canvas and paints are replaced with plates and edible wonders gifted from our planet Earth. For her, every dish should be more than just delicious—it should be a work of art and a story worth telling.
"Young Kate" – Operations Manager
Kate’s daughter and the spark of our organization.
She graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree specializing in Business and Interpersonal Communication. As a young entrepreneur, her goals include developing this organization and her personal fitness and nutrition brand. With three languages, and a desire to share with her community - she is someone who values human connection and inclusion, among health and wellness. Petiya is dedicated to making every event seamless and memorable, with a dash of laughter, and a pinch of magic - all while you enjoy a satisfying bite of our delicious food.
For us, food is much more than a meal.
It is an experience.
We believe in respecting every ingredient, celebrating every detail, and creating unforgettable moments that bring people together.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your special occasions.
We look forward to creating unforgettable memories with you.
